Green Team

Eco-schools is a national scheme which encourages schools to undertake projects which increase children's awareness of the quality of our environment. It requires the children to become actively involved in taking care of our world. If you would like to know more about the scheme visit www.eco-schools.org.uk

At the start of the academic year, the “Green Team" are elected by their peers and consists of 16 children from Key Stage 2 and 6 children from Key Stage 1.They are to be their class representatives and make sure all the other children are kept informed with what the Green Team is doing around school.

The Green Team are currently working towards achieving the school the Bronze Award, building on the work they did for this last year. There are nine main topics covered as part of the eco schools programme and the green team is raising the awareness of these throughout school. These are:
Energy
Water
Biodiversity
School grounds
Healthy living
Transport
Litter
