Welcome back we hope you have had a fantastic holiday.

You are going to be lucky class because you are going to have 2 teachers. Miss Hunt is really looking forward to working with you on a Monday and Tuesday, "I'm really looking forward to our topic sessions together. We will learn lots of exciting new things together."

Mrs Prior is looking forward to working with you on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.  "It's been a while since I have worked in Key Stage 1 so I am looking forward to all the exciting things that we have planned."

Mrs Page is really looking forward to working with everybody and reading with you and finding out what books you like.

We are very excited to be back and working with our new class. We have got lots to look forward to over the next term. Our first topic will be 'All about me' where we will be discovering information about ourselves and our families including our peers in class. In science our topic is ' My body' we will be learning about how the body works and keeping healthy.

In year one we have new and exciting homework challenges these include; spellings on a Monday to be tested the following Monday, Times tables will be handed out on a Friday and tested the following Friday and reading is expected everyday. Finally we are continuing with our home work projects which will be starting in September and you will have 2 weeks to complete each one. We will give you a homework project sheet with a range of homework activities on for you to choose from every 2 weeks.

Our P.E. lessons are on Monday and Tuesday, so you will need to bring both your indoor and outdoor P.E. kit for these days.

Each class are having an animal name. Our class is going to be Panda class. We will be learning all about our animal in the Autumn term.
