Welcome to Chimpanzees class,my name is Miss Buckley and I am the class teacher. I worked in Year 2 towards the last part of the academic year and I am really looking forward to working in Year 2 this school year.
This half term we will be learning about Florence Nightingale. The children will learn who she is and what she did to help other people. The children will compare a hospital ward from Scutari Hospital to a modern day ward. The children will think of interesting questions they would like to ask Florence Nightingale who will visit the children and give a recount of her life. The children will learn about Mary Seacole and compare these two ladies that helped other people. This terms artist is Giuseppe Arcimboldo. The children will use paper fruit and vegetables to create a face.
